We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
There is one position available which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates' education, experience, knowledge skills, and abilities.
This role is responsible for supporting management’s assertions that appropriate internal controls over financial reporting are identified and documented to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404. Role includes all aspects of SOX 404 including performing risk assessment and scoping, development and maintenance of process flows and control narratives, internal controls integration, advising on the design and implementation of new and existing controls, interpretation of new/revised standards, mitigation of risk, and remediation of control deficiencies or design gaps for the Company’s entities subject to SOX reporting. The role involves collaboration with various internal and external groups including the information technology group, internal auditors, external auditors and process owners.
The role also includes the administration of the Company’s SOX software, developing and providing control related education sessions to control performers, process owners and various levels of management. Additionally, this position will assist with other accounting and reporting-related items at the company on an ad hoc basis.

Responsibilities / Job duties
Assist with SOX risk assessments and scoping.
Support various Dominion Energy and external groups including segment accounting groups, internal auditors, information technology and external auditors.
Work with process owners to identify gaps in the current processes and internal controls.
Provide interpretation and guidance to process owners regarding risks, key controls, and documentation requirements.
Evaluate findings from internal or external auditors including identifying potential mitigating controls.
Support employee benefit plan reporting as requested.
Senior: 5+ years general accounting or related experience or 4+ years of public accounting experience (Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience.) A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year.
Accounting Project Manager: 7 years of general accounting or related experience or 5+ years of public accounting experience (Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience). A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year
Required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:
Energy industry experience or Big 4 Public Accounting experience strongly preferred
SOX experience strongly preferred.
CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
Ability to manage projects/tasks independently, including confidence in one’s own capacity to develop interpretive conclusions and to make decisions and recommendations.
Effective communication skills, including ability to convey complex concepts to various audiences.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and demanding business environment.
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
