Responsible for applying consistent accounting principles and procedures to record and analyze financial information, maintain the integrity of the financial records, provide transparent and accurate financial information to Sr. Management, prepare accurate and timely financial reports, and ensure adherence to appropriate accounting control procedures. Collaborate with external teams such as Community Management, Capital Project Managers and Planning.
Job Duties:
Responsible for day-to-day aspects of job cost accounting related to Apartment – Operating Capita), includes but not limited to: coding review and approval, capital authorization confirmation, and budget updates, etc. Responsible for month end close, which includes preparing and reviewing monthly journal entries, reports and reconciliation. Work with Project/Construction Management group to review project setup and accounting treatment. Support audits – both internal and external. Monthly preparation and review of fixed asset additions and abandonments (GAAP and Tax) for each asset by property. Preparation of fixed asset tax forecast in collaboration with the Tax, Fixed Asset, and Planning departments. Prepare variance analysis between actual and forecasted or plan capital. Assist with special projects and other duties as requested.Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
BA or BS in Accounting 5+ years accounting experience, preferably in Real Estate Management CPA or MBA Experience with SAP & SAP Analysis preferred Strong organizational skills; problem-solving skills; detail-oriented; self-motivated; ability to multi-task and prioritize Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience in report writing Ability to effectively communicate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment across the organizationCompensation:
Base Pay Range: $93,600.00 - $112,700.00
Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
