Servco is looking for a Senior Accountant of Financial Reporting who is responsible for the preparation of financial reports, schedules, statements, and other financial data necessary to meet requirements of management and third parties including lenders and auditors. This person will perform monthly consolidations of domestic and foreign subsidiaries, provide accounting advice through technical accounting research and analysis to ensure proper application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) and International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”), and ensures we meet applicable disclosure requirements.
Responsibilities:
Research accounting standards and perform analysis to ensure proper application of GAAP and IFRS to non-recurring, complex or new transactions and the development of required disclosuresComplete monthly, quarterly and annual close tasks; prepare recurring and ad hoc reports and analysis; and review work of consultants and junior staffAssist in the integration of new businesses and operations, including development and ongoing execution of data transmission process from source systems, communication and review of internal control procedures over financial close and reporting process, identification of intercompany transactions, and revision of consolidated financials and footnotes for new accounting and disclosure requirementsPartner with divisional accounting teams to ensure that financial results are accurate and submitted timely and follows global internal control policies over the financial close process. Identify, document, and record elimination, consolidation, and U.S. GAAP adjustment journal entriesPerform project analysis, develop and implement procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency as assignedAssist in completing external and internal audits and special projectsUtilize the Company's lease accounting and administration software to ensure compliance under both GAAP and IFRS lease accounting standardsParticipate in the case management process including approving payments, signing checks and other ad hoc cash management duties. Develops relationships with bank contacts as well as internal partners such as Accounts Payable and CreditRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferredFour years of accounting experience, of which at least two years should be in public accountingDiversified and industry experience in retail, manufacturing and automotive and/or work experience with a big-4 national CPA firm preferredPrior experience auditing consolidated financial statements (including foreign subsidiaries with noncontrolling shareholders preferred), purchase accounting, and business combination integrationsPrefer experience in Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (“FCCS”) or Hyperion Financial Management (“HFM”)Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) license preferredAdvanced level Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointTechnical accounting knowledge (GAAP) and research skillsAbility to effectively document accounting policies, accounting analysis, and controlsAbility to understand audit risks and procedures to effectively communicate with external auditors and respond to their requestsAbility to build and maintain effective relationships to share information, establish partnerships, and leverage expertise to accomplish goals. Pay Range: $61,500.00 - $93,500.00 per year
