Job Description
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing various accounting processes using the Deltek Costpoint accounting system. Key duties include billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, cash management, monthly closing, and financial reporting.
ResponsibilitiesManage Costpoint configuration and organization setupPerform all aspects of accounting processes as requiredReview and maintain project reportsDocument processes, procedures, and instruction documentsMaintain and reconcile balance sheet accountsProvide support, troubleshooting, and resolve Costpoint related issuesAssist with auditsCalculate indirect rates, cost pools, and allocations in CostpointPerform monthly close activities including GL reconciliation, journal entries, financial statements, and processing revenueAssist and train other members of the staff on Costpoint processesEssential SkillsAccountingAccounts payableAccounts receivableReconciliationGeneral ledgerMonth-end closeInvoicingJournal entryBank reconciliationDeltek CostpointMinimum of 2 years experience using Deltek Costpoint Accounting SystemBS in business, accounting, or finance with 3 years of experience, or no BS with 7 years of experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with DoD, government contracting, policies, standards, and proceduresContinuous engagement to understand current and future tool capabilities relative to business needsFoundational understanding of Program Management processes and costingFamiliarity with Earned Value ManagementExperience with Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, and Cost-Reimbursable Government contractsIntermediate level Excel skillsDetail-oriented with a passion for accuracyKnowledge of FAR and DCAA guidelines and auditsExperience in preparing ledgers, financial reports, budgetary reports, and financial forecastingMinimum of 3 years in an accounting/business role with the Federal Government Contractor or ConsultantWork Environment
To start, the role will be completely onsite while training is occurring, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid work environment once up to speed. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $104000.00
