Senior Accounting Analyst
What You'll Do We’re looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic Benefits and Protection Finance and Accounting team. In this role you'll focus on internal controls. We're dedicated to maintaining financial integrity and transparency within our organization, offering you the opportunity to make a significant impact. As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our financial controls and reporting team. Collaborating closely with business partners and peers across various business units, you'll work directly with the Director-Accounting and the Chief Accounting Officer of Benefits and Protection. Enhance Control Structure and Compliance Monitoring: Partner and consult with business leaders to strengthen control structures and monitoring processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational risk frameworks – including Sarbanes-Oxley. Assess Risks and Evaluate Control Effectiveness: Conduct thorough risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of controls, promptly addressing any deficiencies and collaborating on remediation plans. Drive Operational Excellence Initiatives: Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, innovate processes, and drive transformative change through system enhancements, process optimizations, and other operational excellence projects. Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, process owners, and auditors, to ensure alignment and collaboration on internal control matters. Lead Actuarial Reserving Controls and Special Projects: Own and enhance the control structure for the actuarial reserving areas, serving as the primary point of contact for this area. Additionally, consult on other critical special projects, ensuring successful execution and alignment with organizational goals. Who You Are Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience 6+ years of relevant experience required Internal controls experience within an insurance company is preferred Big 4 Public Accounting experience is ideal CPA or other applicable certifications preferred Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $106400 - $167000 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
