Senior Accounting Manager

 

The Senior Accounting Manager plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance Accounts Receivable processes, lead critical month-end close activities, and implement continuous improvements that align with Infusion For Health’s growth objectives and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all daily accounting operations and ensure proper accounting procedures are followed in accordance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement best practices for greater efficiency in the accounting function.Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and proper account classifications.Lead month-end and year-end close processes related to AR and revenue recognition, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.Prepare and analyze AR reports, including aged receivables, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve collection strategies and reduce DSO.Assist with the development and documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls specific to revenue and AR processes.Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger monthly, identifying and resolving discrepancies.Oversee revenue recognition processes, including reviewing contracts and ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and applicable standards.Partner with RCM on the AR reserve process on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and deliver insightful analytics, ensuring accurate reporting of revenue and discount adjustments in the general ledger.Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules for revenue and AR-related accounts.Examine all non-standard AR and Revenue journal entries across I4H to ensure compliance.Assists in the investigation and resolution of lockbox issues, unidentified receipts and credit and disbursement issues.Support audits (internal and external) by providing schedules, explanations, and documentation related to AR and revenue.Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in AR and revenue-related workflows.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff on revenue recognition and AR processes.Special projects as the business requires.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required.Healthcare payor and/or provider experience is required.Strong understanding of GAAP, specifically ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition).7+ years of experience that includes an Accounts Receivable Manager role. Experience partnering with RCM teams in a payor/provider environment.Expert-level Excel experience.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve accounting discrepancies.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact with external stakeholders.Strong problem-solving mindset and a desire for continuous improvement.
