We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our team. The Senior Accounting Manager will report to Global Controller for Sample Management Solutions. You will manage accounting activities for the assigned business segment ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and external audits. This role will have oversight of accounting matters of the assigned operating company and will be responsible for monthly closing of financial accounts, and preparation of reports in support of the financial statements.
The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, a solid operational and technical accounting background, and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity, and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do…
Lead and oversee accounting processes for the US entities of Sample Management Solutions Operating Company.Lead month-end closing activities related to the operating company, including account reconciliations.Ensure proper classification of services costs related to revenue, warranties & concessions.Review P&L and Balance Sheet financial statements ensure proper accrual for any missing costs / transactions, true up any reserves etc and ensure robust accrual process and procedure to comply with US GAAP.Participate in the ongoing development and establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies, including the review and implementation of process and system changesEnsure execution of control procedures as per the policies, review any control gaps, apply judgement and advise / consult with Finance leadership at both operating company & corporate. Review Balance Sheet for responsible entities, complete Flux, provide commentary and explanation on balance changes.Liaise with GPO owners on matters relating to Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting and other general accounting.Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and overall Balance sheet items responsible for.Coordinate with Corporate accounting on matters relating to general accounting, chart of accounts management.Provide coaching / guidance to assigned team members leading to high performance.What you will Bring…
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferredMaster's degree in accounting, finance or an MBA a plus7+ years or progressive experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of accounting concepts under US GAAP.Roll-up your sleeves approach and ability to problem solveExperience with accounting software applications, ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite required. Knowledge of the Oracle Cloud ERP and OneStream is a plusStrong process focus & improvement mindset; Six Sigma and/or Lean trained; strong project management skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to multi-task in complex and dynamic environmentsExperience working at a global company in a SOX compliant environment.Working Conditions/ Schedule
