The Opportunity:

The Senior Accounting Manager – FP&A will be responsible for Resource Industries segment financial reporting activities. This individual will lead a team preparing segment monthly and quarterly financial analysis, pull together consolidated forecasts and communicate results to Senior Leadership. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your work will be highly visible at all levels of the company.

What You Will Do:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Preparing the monthly and quarterly financial analysis material shared with company CFOEffectively leading a diverse team of skilled senior analysts responsible for monthly and quarterly financial analysis and reportingEffectively communicating financial results to company VPs and SVPs, and Group PresidentDrive improvements and efficiencies in financial analysis and reporting processesCollaborate across a variety of groups at Caterpillar, including finance, accounting, commercial and business divisionsPartner across the enterprise to support key projects related to Global Finance strategy initiatives

Skills needed for success in role:

Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Summary Pay Range:

$144,960.00 - $217,320.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
