Job Summary
Under moderate supervision, provides support for month-end closing requirements including fixed assets, intercompany, journal entries, financial reporting and closing requirements. Acts as a liaison between multiple departments to resolve issues or answer inquiries.
Responsibilities
Performs accounting functions including monthly account reconciliations, monitoring certain monthly accruals and preparing journal entries in order to ensure proper reporting financials. Analyze CIP projects and work with Business Planning on project status, issues, etc. Support the annual fixed asset count accordingly. Reconcile inventory accounts and ensure accurate reporting of stock levels and valuation. Monitor and record inventory transactions including transfers and adjustments. Prepare detail reports on inventory performance and provide insights into variances or discrepancies. Ensures internal controls are operating correctly with the goal of zero deficiencies through JSOX auditing. Performs financial analysis and assists in financial reporting activities in order to ensure proper recording of transactions. Investigates and analyzes accounting and financial related data in order to reconcile and audit information. Performs more complex intercompany account reconciliation. Assists with process improvement activities including maintaining and implementing internal controls. Acts as a liaison between internal departments and other DENSO locations in order to resolve outstanding issues. Assist on internal and external audit. Performs monthly financial reporting as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. 2-5+ years of relevant Accounting experience. Cost Accounting experience preferred. CPA preferred. Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills to discuss or transmit information to internal and external customers. Strong analytical skills to investigate, interpret and reconcile information from several distinct sources in situations where conclusions or resolutions are discernible. Customer service skills to display a service-oriented attitude in addressing and responding to customer issues. Intermediate understanding of accounting principles. Fixed Asset Software (e.g. Sage, Oracle, SAP, etc.). Ability to communicate and resolve issues effectively and efficiently with other departments. Process improvement mindset. Intermediate system knowledge in Accounting. Assist in maintaining the integrity of financial statements. Advanced skills in Excel (e.g. Vlookups, sumifs, pivot table, etc.).Salary $65,000-$80,000.
