EquipmentShare is searching for a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow. We are looking for someone to work Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM.

Job Summary: 

Assist with accounting projects and functions of the Accounting Department. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

None. 

Duties/Responsibilities:  Enter and balance accounts payable transactions Monitor credit card charges and coding for expenses Assist with various accounting team projects Support Finance team with recurring monthly spreadsheets using Excel, Google Sheets, Pivot tables and Vlookups Assist Financial administrators with help as needed Process accounts payable transactions Post all invoices into the accounting system Handle and resolve disputed invoices Request credits from vendors and reconcile company credit card accounts Prepare vendor payments and create client invoices Required Skills/Abilities:  Process improvement, CI and accounting/AP principles Strong foundation in spreadsheets (Pivot tables, filters, formulas) Excel and Google Sheets Strong verbal and written communication Ability to communicate clearly with senior management Ability to function as a team player Enthusiasm to join a team that’s growing quickly and making a difference in the industry Education and Experience:  Associate’s degree in accounting or a relevant field At least 3+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting Physical Requirements:  Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
