Senior Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Title: Senior Accounts Payable Specialist Job Description Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Specialist in Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial operations, specifically in handling Accounts Payable functions, managing Travel & Expense processes, and proficiency in 1099 Processing. Additionally, experience with Coupa, SAP Concur, and general SAP is crucial for success in this role. Responsibilities + Accounts Payable Invoice Processing: + Ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. + Process vendor invoices, reconcile statements, and handle exceptions related to PO mismatches and billings within the Coupa system. + Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and inquiries. + Travel & Expense Administration: + Administer the Travel & Expense process, including policy compliance checks and reimbursement processing. + Provide guidance to employees on expense report submissions and policy adherence, including following up on unsubmitted expense reports. + Work closely with stakeholders to optimize expense management procedures. + 1099 Processing: + Manage the end-to-end process of 1099 reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. + Coordinate with vendors to obtain necessary tax documentation and validate accuracy. + Stay informed about changes in tax regulations impacting 1099 processing. + Procurement (Coupa): + Review procurement activities within the Coupa platform, including purchase requisitions, approvals, and order processing. + Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. + Work closely with vendors to ensure PO submission delivery and there are no outstanding requests pending. + Technology Proficiency: + Utilize expertise in Coupa, SAP Concur, and general SAP to streamline and enhance financial processes. + Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement system updates and improvements. + Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues efficiently. Essential Skills + Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, and 1099 Processing. + Proficiency in Coupa, SAP Concur, and general SAP is essential. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. + Knowledge of tax regulations related to 1099 processing. The team has around 20-25 people, with a strong emphasis on internal growth. The position is a 3-6 month contract role. The company has successfully onboarded 200 employees remotely in the last two years and 54 people sit in the downtown Stamford location, covering all corporate functions Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
