Job Description

Under the supervision of the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist ensures efficiencies within the AP function and provides guidance and direction to AP Specialists. The Senior AP Specialist is responsible for AP-related duties, as well as conducting analysis in order to identify and troubleshoot vendor/invoice concerns. This position identifies process improvements, leads the implementation, and ensures accountability for adherence to those processes.

ResponsibilitiesPerform and oversee AP duties to ensure invoices are entered accurately and payments are made within the vendor’s due dates.Responsible for payment and reconciliation of recovery fees to Members and Contract OPO’s.Manage the payment process for all vendors, including check runs, ACHs, federal wires, and payments by P-Card.Maintain corroborative relationships with all vendors, including recovery agencies, to provide a positive vendor experience.Conduct analysis/investigations and provide resolutions to any AP issues, reviewing all month-end and year-end close documents and analysis.Review and audit documentation for accurate vendor setup.Responsible for annual 1099 reporting to vendors and internal reconciliation.Maintain AP files and proper back-up documentation for audits.Responsible for purchase order monthly review and cleanup.Reconcile accounts payable ledger and post adjusting journal entries.Assist the Corporate Controller with the annual audit and other audits requiring review of Accounts Payable functions.Identify process improvement areas and lead the team in developing plans for increased efficiencies.Ensure accounting processes/procedures are adhered to.Adhere to and promote practices and techniques consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices, and company policies.Essential SkillsAccounts payable experienceInvoice processing3-way matchInvoicingReconciliationProficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs)1099 reportingExperience with payment processes for all vendors, including check runs, ACHs, federal wires, and payments by P-Card4+ years in APHigh volume invoice processing (100 per day)Experience with larger ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.)High school diplomaAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degreeEpicore experience (ERP)Manufacturing industry experienceWork Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Training will be fully onsite. The accounting team consists of five members, and the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist will report to the Senior Accounting Manager. The office is separate from the manufacturing area and is a very clean and nice space. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
