About the role
As Senior Accountant, your tasks will revolve around all areas relating to accounting functions and financial reporting. This position will be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks and activities, as well as recording transactions for Wartsila Voyage Americas branch office in Argentina. This position must meet tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation and financial reporting.

 

Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to

Recording daily banking transactions and daily updating of cashflow spreadsheet. Preparation of weekly treasury and procurement reports. Reviewing weekly payments for GL coding and completeness of documentation. Responsible for weekly processing of Concur travel reports. Monthly reconciliation of IG accounts. Monthly accrual of unrecorded bills, accrued bonus, travel expenses and posting of fixed asset.depreciation, reconciliation of accumulated depreciation to GL balance. Monthly posting of allocation of employee costs to projects. Monthly and quarterly sales tax reporting. Responsible for the posting of salaries and office expenses.

 

The below will enable you to succeed in this role

Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or relatable field of study. 5 years’ experience in a similar position within a matrix organization. Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and SAP. Fluent in English. Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage. Self-starter with ability to work independently. Systematic and organized way of working. Ability to work in a multicultural environment.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.  Eligibility to participate in: the discretionary incentive plan assigned to the level of position upon offer of employment; medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) plan and flexible spending accounts, subject to plan terms; Company-paid benefits such as life insurance, short- and long-term disability, subject to applicable waiting periods.  Paid time off (PTO) is accrued on a per-pay period basis in accordance with tenure in the Company; a new hire can expect 17 days per year. Twelve (12) Company-paid holidays.
