Senior Actualizations Analyst

What You Can Expect

As a Senior Actualizations Analyst in Houston, you play a critical role by ensuring accurate and timely data input within the Risk management system. Every day, you will collaborate closely with traders, risk management personnel, and Operations (settlements and IT) team to support trading activities related to forward energy, congestion, day-ahead/real-time and algorithmic trading products, ensuring data from settlement and Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems tie out with high precision.

 

Check the accuracy of the input and reconcile associated data related to the actualization of energy transactions, including trades, schedules, and settlements Collaborate with traders and risk managers to ensure timely and accurate data entry Monitor and validate data from Poweroptix (settlements system) and other sources being recorded in the ETRM system Collaborate with market risk team to ensure they are represented correctly in daily P&L reporting Work with Aligne/FIS Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems to ensure data integrity and consistency Assist in resolving discrepancies and exceptions related to energy transactions Generate reports and provide insights to support risk management and governance activities surrounding the trading decisions Provide business insights and collaborate with Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) IT to ensure actualization processes are running accurately Act as a member of the broader Risk team to support other ad-hoc requests Stay informed about market rules, regulations, and industry best practices Carry out other duties as assigned

 

 

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in an analytical and quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering, Finance, Economics, Math) A minimum of 2 years of experience in energy trading, operations, or related roles A minimum of 5 years of professional experience Familiarity with energy markets, congestion management, and day-ahead/real-time products Proficiency in data handling, structuring, organizing, processing, and presenting skills (using Advanced Excel+VBA, SQL, Python, R, or any other data analysis tool) Proficiency in using Aligne/FIS or similar energy trading systems Understanding of Independent System Operator (ISO)/Real-Time Operator (RTO) markets and their rules Experience with settlement processes and regulatory compliance Analytical profile, ability to provide precise and solid insights, identify causes and conditions, structure action plans, and propose and defend those to the leadership Ability to manage multiple competing priorities on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy and limited oversight Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Compensation

Salary Range: $96,100 – $147,660 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
