Senior Actuarial Analyst, Reserving

So if you're ready to go deep working on a rewarding set of challenges and if you've got the skills, experience, passion, and a strong team mentality - read on and get in touch! **What You'll Do** - Deploy traditional actuarial skills and training in new and innovative ways to support Uber’s Commercial Auto insurance and other coverages through the estimation of unpaid claims liability - Contribute to the Quarterly Reserving Process, including data creation and validation, analysis and selections, internal and external communication, as well as financial implementation - Build detailed claims analysis and data visualization tools to inform accurate IBNR selections and to identify operational opportunities in Uber’s business and claims functions - Work closely with various parties, including insurance finance, data science, claims analytics, and your actuarial peers in the development of analytic process and deliverables - Communicate/present analysis findings to actuarial management and other internal stakeholders, including claims, accounting, and insurance leaders **Basic Qualifications** - Candidate with 4+ CAS Exams and a minimum of 3 years of Property & Casualty (P&C) actuarial experience - Excel skills, proficient with SQL (or similar querying language) - BA/BS Math, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or Similar **Preferred Qualifications** - ACAS/FCAS designation - Experience with commercial or personal auto insurance - Motivation to dive into the details of analysis and learn complex topics from first principles and hands-on experience - Great communication and organization skills, ability to multitask and be a team player - Balance attention to detail with swift and practical execution - Drive to learn complex topics - Experience working cross functionally with claims and finance - Reserving experience, reinsurance a plus - Experience with R, Python or similar coding languages - Enthusiasm about Uber! For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$129,000 per year - USD$143,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$129,000 per year - USD$143,000 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$116,000 per year - USD$128,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
