Job Title: Senior Actuarial Risk Analyst

Job Purpose:
You will be a key member of the three-person Actuarial Risk Team in the organisation, primarily responsible for delivering capital model risk management and monitoring/reporting of risk metrics. Other responsibilities include production of ORSAs and Scenario analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Validation:
Support annual validation of the Lloyd’s syndicate capital model, including performing deep-dive reviews of various areas of the capital model.Prepare risk reports for each major model development or re-parameterisation.Undertake lighter validation on other internally used capital models.Perform deep-dives of actuarial and other models across the business.Liaise with model owners and other stakeholders to develop a comprehensive and holistic understanding of models’ workings and outputs. Then recommend further refinements or raise findings as necessary.Risk metrics:
Update and improve dashboards covering all areas of the business.Liaise with relevant stakeholders to gain deeper insights into the metrics and their outlook for insightful risk commentaryPrepare or oversee preparation of quarterly risk metrics presentation for reporting to Risk Committees and Boards.Contribute to annual review of risk metrics ensuring their continued relevance and develop new metrics and their risk appetites as required.Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA):
Contribute to annual ORSAs for our 4 entities from a quantitative risk perspective.Maintain the business risk profile inputs that feature in ORSA and their trends quarterly.Stress and scenario analysis:
Perform annual stress test and scenario analysis exercise by liaising with stakeholders across the firmReport back the results to business, report into ORSAs and utilise the outputs to validate capital model outputs and refine as necessary.Performance Objectives:
High attention to detail with reporting and MI deliverables.Build relationships within the business.Become a subject matter expert with the deliverables assigned to this role.Achieve positive feedback from stakeholders within the business.Skills and Experience Specification:
Essential:
At least 2 years’ of relevant work experience in a non-life actuarial function either in-house or consultancy.Familiarity with capital modelling principles and comfort with stochastic modelling techniques and aggregations.Analytical, collaborative and driven to get to the core of the matter.Able to engage model owners in a constructive manner.Excellent written communication/report-writing skills.Demonstrable progress with an Actuarial qualification.Good planning and organisational skills.Desirable:
1st line capital modelling or validation experience.Knowledge of Remetrica or any other Capital modelling platform is desirable.What We Offer
