Job Details:

Responsibilities

Schedule and attend PTF monthly meetings.

Course Instructor Surveys – Order all course instructor evaluations for the department and disburse them to faculty and TAs.

Oversee grade reporting.

Evening Exam Coordination – Coordinate logistics of evening exams, including room assignments and proctors. This requires careful planning, in most cases requiring making arrangements several months in advance of the scheduled exam date.

Manages Chemistry Student Services Testing Center, including working with SSD students to schedule exams, managing the appointment calendar, and scheduling during midterms and final exams

Hires and manages exam proctors and student workers for testing center.

Assists students and faculty with general questions and issues related to registration and course prerequisites, general information resources, room scheduling, grade change procedures, exam procedures and systems, and other related tasks. Complete annual periodic reports. Assist with undergraduate graduation.

Other related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Diploma (High School) and three years experience in an academic office environment. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact and maintain productive working relationships with a broad population of faculty, staff, and students and maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree. Familiarity with instruction-related policies and procedures at the University of Texas. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with little supervision.


Salary Range
$54,000 + depending on qualifications
