Job Summary/Basic Function

Serve as Senior Administrative Associate and provide secretarial and clerical support to the University Counsel and other attorneys in the Office of the University Counsel (OUC). The University Counsel serves as the Secretary to the Board of Trustees for which support is provided. Essential tasks include: provide advanced secretarial and clerical word processing; responsible for effective office management duties; maintain confidential office filing protocols; respond to telephone calls, assist callers and relay messages; schedule meetings; maintain and update webpages; coordinate all aspects of training and presentations provided by attorneys; research cases, statutes in the legal library and/or Internet; maintain accurate records concerning status of multi-step policy revision process, litigation, legal projects and tasks; coordinate conference calls; maintain and reconcile departmental budgets; schedule travel and perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned. Note: occasional extended hours and/or weekend work may be required related to events and meetings.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree required.

Required Related Experience

Two years progressively responsible work experience reporting to a senior management level position.
Note: A high school diploma or high school equivalency and six years of related experience; or an Associate’s degree (two years of related college coursework) and four years of related experience may be considered in lieu of the bachelor's degree requirement.

Required License/Registration/Certification

CPS/CAP and maintain active certification required.

Desirable Related Experience

Previous law office experience strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Desirable License/Registration/Certification

Notary Public preferred
