This work will be done in close cooperation with the business platform owners, Adobe Commerce delivery architect & wider IT team. KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES + Technical Expertise: Lead system development & configuration of Adobe Commerce Cloud, both front- and back-end. Suggest and develop improvements within the Solution area to meet business objectives and requirements. + Customer Support: Serve as technical point of contact, proving a solid development framework and process aligned with JIRA, managing demands and helping to prioritise features. + Problem Solving : Analyse complex problems related to Adobe Commerce Third level support, i.e., service requests and incidents, identifying root causes and proposing effective solutions. Ability to think critically and creatively. + Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including central commerce team, end users and 3rd party vendors. Collaborating effectively will be crucial to success. + Documentation: Maintain detailed records of development and design solutions, including test plans. Clear documentation ensures consistency and helps improve processes. + Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with Adobe Commerce updates, industry trends, and best practices is essential. Actively seek knowledge to enhance expertise. KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES + Understand and translate business requirements into accurate application specifications and solutions, working closely with stakeholders. + Estimate development efforts and help shape prioritisation. + Design and code updates to Adobe Commerce + Design, implement, and extend additional functionality, refactoring where appropriate. + Write code that is stable, reusable, and conforms to team coding style and standards. + Create and maintain documentation for application coding and project development, along with user documentation as needed. + Working with APIs to integrate various back-end systems + Build bespoke or advise on off-the-shelf solutions to meet tech requirements + Ensure JIRA is used for all planning and release management + General maintenance including security patches and version upgrades + Balance multiple demands, manage daily workload, and prioritize tasks.   + Participate in code reviews and technical meetings + Work closely and collaboratively with other members of the eCommerce team + Accurately maintain code in source control systems, appropriately documenting and commenting check-in and merge activities. + Support QA, UAT, and integration testing efforts, including test case execution when necessary. + Prepare and package completed software for production deployment. + Smoke test applications as an integral part of the deployment process. + Act as L3 support to troubleshoot and resolve problems and errors with existing systems & data + Develop and maintain knowledge of related technology and software trends. + Attain high stakeholder satisfaction ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with quality results SELECTION CRITERIA + Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, information systems or demonstrated equivalent education and relevant work experience. + Certified Magento developer, 7 - 10 years of total work experience working in similar role with experience of Adobe Commerce Cloud development and architecture. + Experience of multi store Magento sites & implementation best practices + Excellent PHP, MySQL, PHTML, HTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript + Familiarity with third-party integrations, payment gateways, and shipping modules. + Understanding of UX and responsive design and development requirement + Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. + Experience in agile development practices & methodologies + Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with all levels in the organization + Highly detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. + Self-motivated with ability to establish priorities and work independently + Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing. + Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards.
