Senior Advanced Controls System Integration Engineer

 The\nControl Systems (CS) Environmental Control Systems (ECS) organization is\nseeking a Senior Control Systems Integration Engineer to join their\nteam. This position will involve working on a variety of aircraft, including\nAir Transport, Regional, Business, Urban Air Mobility, and Military aircraft.

You will\nwork out of our Tempe AZ, or Torrance CA, location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Reporting\nto the ECS Control Systems Integration Senior Manager, the Senior Advanced Control\nSystems Integration Engineer will be responsible for applying technical systems\nengineering principles to control system definition, design, and integration.\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in the implementation and\ncertification of ECS systems, such as Bleed Air, Air Conditioning, and Vapor\nCycle systems.


 Key\nResponsibilities
System\n Requirements definition and validation analysis including architecture,\n functionality and dynamic performance.
Hardware and\n Software requirements definition and analysis including key\n characteristics and performance aspects, electrical and data bus\n interfaces.
Development\n process coordination and handoffs between internal and external\n stakeholders, communication with chief engineering and technical\n management.
System\n Integration Test Support including facility architecture and requirements,\n test plans/procedures, test execution support and results review.
Control System\n Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) Analysis involving issue\n troubleshooting at the aircraft or system level and definition of robust\n solutions to identified test problems.
Executing\n control system integration and dynamic analysis standard processes / best\n practices.
Product Line\n Engineering leadership for the Vapor Cycle System Product line.

The annual\nbase salary range for this position in California is $128,000 - $160,000. \nThe annual base salary range for this position in Arizona is $110,000 -\n$139,000.  Please note that this salary information serves as a general\nguideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer,\nincluding but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position,\nthe candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as\nmarket and business considerations.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST\nHAVE
Bachelor’s\n degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as\n the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
5+ years of\n aerospace systems, control development or hardware / software experience.

Technical\n experience in control system design, including closed-loop control and\n logic definition.
Experience\n with air and thermal systems, including pressure and flow management, heat\n transfer, and reverse Brayton cycle.
Familiarity\n with Model Based Systems Engineering and SysML.
Experience\n with requirement management tools, such as IBM DOORS/ELM.
Experience\n with Matlab Simulink.
Familiarity\n with Agile development of integrated systems (mechanical, electrical, and\n software).
Knowledge of\n Aerospace standards for Environmental Test (DO-160), Software Development\n (DO-178C), and Electronic Hardware Development (DO-254).
Strong verbal\n and written communication skills.
Ability to\n learn quickly and adapt to an environment with dynamic process and program\n needs.
