Senior Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesDrive improvements and CAPEX projects focusing on utilizing the Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools, automation, mechatronics, and robotics, to lead to lead transformation projectsDevelop feasibility studies, design & implementation of automation projects, including AGVs implementation, robotic cells, automated conveyors, etc.Develop project plans and timelines for automation initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives and milestonesMonitor progress and performance against established timelines, proactively identifying and addressing any delays or roadblocksDefining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources and personnel to ensure smooth implementation of new processesDesign, develop, and implement automation solutions tailored to meet the specific needs and objectives of each projectservices for automation implementationWorking hand in hand with the Continues Improvement and Industrialization teams, to participate and lead Kaizen projects
Qualifications for the roleUniversity degree in Engineering degree, (Mechanical, Electronics, Control, and Automation)Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing, automation, or related fieldsAbility to work onsite in Pinetops, NC dailyStrong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principals and toolsExcellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlinesStrong experience in layout development and optimization preferredGood experience in using AutoCAD and/or RevitGood experience in using simulation software like FlexSim is a definite plusPreferably have process knowledge in one or more disciplines such as assembly, material handling, winding, press automation, picking/packing/pallet applications, etc.Preferably have a working knowledge of control systems, I/O, PLC and bus communicationExperience in offline robot programming and simulation packages (RobotStudio) is a plusAdvanced level in English language (Speaking and writing skills)Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and work with diverse discipline project teamsAbility to learn new methods and technologiesCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
