The Turboshaft Engines Project Engineering team has an opening for a Senior Advanced Project Engineer to lead development of moderately complex engine systems, component design, test activity and aircraft OEM support. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the interest, aptitude, and experience associated with the design, development, test and support of gas turbine engines for rotary-wing applications. This role involves a partnership with another engine manufacturer so excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Escalate effectively with leadership and cross-functionally across the organization.Strong commitment to customer satisfaction.Bias toward creative thinking and innovation in product design and approach to everyday work.Implement design-to-cost and variation-reduction strategies.Promote and build strong team working relationships.Manage within very difficult resource constraints.Identify gaps and risks on behalf of the team.Balances workload of the team members.Monitor work of team members to recognize when they are “stuck” or “off track”.Leverages technical experts to review the technical work of the team.Leads trade studies and RCCA activities.Communicate project status with internal and external customers.

YOU MUST HAVE
\n\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics. \n5+ years’ engineering experience in design, development, and/or test of gas turbine engines or similarly complex mechanical system. \n\n\n

\n\nPrior experience leading gas turbine engine design and development activities.\nTesting of moderately complex systems.\nExcellent oral and written communications.\nProgram/Project Management experience. \nStrong cost account management skills.\nDemonstrates a bias for action and ability to work independently. \nPrioritizes time and resources effectively. \nAbility to build constructive working relationships with the partner company, aircraft OEM’s and suppliers.\nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization to accomplish technical objectives under strict schedule constraints.\n\n\n
