Senior AI Engineer (Robust Intelligence)

The Robust Intelligence team joined Cisco through acquisition in fall 2024 to lead research and development of security and AI at Cisco. The team has deep expertise in AI and security and is an active contributor to cutting-edge research and standards on AI and security. About Robust Intelligence Robust Intelligence pioneered the category of AI security and created the first platform for securing AI applications from supply chain, model vulnerabilities, and real-time attacks. Funded by Sequoia and Tiger Global, Robust Intelligence customers include the world's largest banking and financial institutions, HR and payroll services, fintech and financial software, technology and consumer electronics, insurance, consulting, travel, data centers and cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity as well as government agencies. The company was acquired by Cisco in 2024. Your Impact As a Senior AI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing AI security solutions at Cisco. This role offers the exciting opportunity to collaborate with a team of experts and contribute to groundbreaking projects that shape the future of AI security. As a team, we push the frontiers of AI security through a diverse set of workstreams: • Lead projects with software engineers, data scientists or MLE to build novel algorithms, architect complex systems and build industry leading solutions. • Work with the privacy team at Cisco and product to build data compliance, provenance and governance policies. • Lead cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into Cisco's security products. • Influence Leadership and Product on building the next generation solutions, establishing long-term strategic vision and forging new technological pathways. • You'll have the opportunity to contribute to our overall machine learning and software development culture as a leader in the org. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience or Master’s degree with 4 years of experience or PhD with 2 years of experience in Computer Science or related field • Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI model development or Software development • Experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g. Go, Python, etc.) • Experience with Machine learning, Statistical data analysis, Math or software development on distributed systems. Preferred Qualifications: • An attitude of hands-on learning and constant experimentation to decompose and understand problem areas, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Comfortable with fast iterative style development in an environment that requires autonomous thinking, risk taking and bias for action. • Understanding the latest GenAI technologies and creative prompting. Comfortable with traditional ML frameworks like pytorch and TensorFlow, or containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) • Hands on experience with model developing, data processing, or model hosting platforms and services, such as AWS SageMaker, Kubeflow, Hugging Face, KServe. • Ability to lead a project with multiple engineers, handle scoping, design, excution and maintenance. #WeAreCisco #WeAreCisco where every individual brings their unique skills and perspectives together to pursue our purpose of powering an inclusive future for all.
