Join a dedicated team of engineers and scientists who assist Government and industry personnel to develop, integrate, test and field novel solutions to the hardest problems in air warfare. Provide technical expertise and operational context to the Integrated Test Team’s test plans and test execution to ensure mission success in challenging and contested airborne environments. Incorporate lessons learned from previous test and operational deployments to improve future system performance and optimize warfighter effectiveness. Utilize your technical and tactical knowledge to train other APL staff in the development, test and operations of military platforms and systems. Qualifications You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you ... Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or another related discipline. Have extensive experience in development, integration, and/or test of hardware or software systems. Have a demonstrated track record of excellence in technical leadership. Possess excellent interpersonal and technical writing skills and are able to effectively mentor professional staff. Are willing to travel between the APL Laurel, MD and Lexington Park, MD offices and within the National Capital Region. Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Have graduated from a formal test & evaluation curriculum (e.g. USNTPS, ETPS). The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
