TalentWorld is recruiting a Senior Aircraft Structures Engineer in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.
Responsibilities Certify and approve structural modifications to aircraft under regulatory standards. Conduct structural analysis, including finite element modeling and fatigue assessments. Design and validate modifications for aircraft structures, systems, and interiors. Perform inspections, witness certification tests, and maintain compliance documentation. Liaise with Transport Canada and other aviation authorities. Support cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers. Manage projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering; advanced degrees preferred. Registered P.Eng or equivalent preferred; eligible for Transport Canada delegation (AP/DAR). 10+ years in aircraft certification and structural design. 2+ years as a Transport Canada delegated person. Expertise in fuselage penetrations, interior alterations, and flammability compliance. Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and structural analysis tools (FEMAP, ANSYS). Familiar with FAR 23/25/27/29 regulations. Software: Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication skills, ability to travel, and aviation maintenance/manufacturing experience is an asset.
