As Senior A&C Engineer you will be part of the Airworthiness & Certification Office and will serve as a focal for H80/M601 commercial turboprop engine product line as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all matters relating to A&C and you will be a liaison to the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and other Foreign Civil Aviation Authorities (FCAA).Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Ensure that the design of the engines or the design changes comply with the applicable type-certification basis and environmental protection requirements.
Represent GEAC when interfacing with EASA or FCAAs on engineering, continued airworthiness, certification, and validation issues.
Ensure that GEAC Design Organization Handbook (including associated procedures) is maintained in conformity with the design assurance system.
Establish the type-certification basis, ensure the certification programmes are prepared and coordinate all tasks related to type investigation in concurrence with EASA.
Prepare and maintain compliance checklist and provide verification to the Head of Design Organization that all activities required for the type investigation have been properly completed.
Approve, under the privileges of the GEAC Design Organization Approval, classification of type design changes, classification of repairs, minor type design changes, and minor or certain major repairs as delegated by the Head of Airworthiness (HoA).
Monitor and communicate project status, regulatory issues and significant developments on engine programs related to engagement with EASA or FCAAs.
Provide guidance to all departments of the GEAC design organisation in all matters relating to airworthiness, environmental protection approvals and certification.
Coordinate the preparation of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) (service bulletins, maintenance manuals, etc.) and ensure airworthiness review of these instructions.
Advice EASA with regard to the issue of airworthiness directives.
Prepare, when required, draft of type-certificate data sheet or type-certificate data sheet modification.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Aerospace Engineering; master's preferred
Sound and proven experience in an aerospace engineering position.
Experience with Design Certification approaches, process integration solutions and product compliant to all regulatory aspects.
Deeper knowledge of certification of aircraft engines, aircraft systems, design changes and repair designs.
Solid experience with Aerospace regulations, EASA Part 21, and Engine Certification Specifications (CS-E)
Airworthiness proven experience.
Experience with design implementation processes and configuration management processes.
Experience in international environment
