As a part of the team, you ensure Nike wins with the consumers: your decisions will influence the right merchandise assortment is available at the right time, in the right stores, in the right volume. Being a Senior Allocator for the Nike Stores, you will join our strong retail team at our European Head Office based in Hilversum and look after our most premium retail doors across the European Market.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will work closely in squads with the assortment planning, merchandising and MPO teams for Nike Direct Stores. Further collaboration with Territory / Store teams, Location Planning & Merch Financial Planning teams.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Senior Allocator to join our EHQ team. In this role you will serve the Nike Value Stores business as part of the Nike Direct market Place. This role has a strong focus on in-season business trade, team coaching on Allocation best practices and leading x-functional work streams.
The candidate needs to have the following functional competencies:
Analytics: We’re expecting a candidate to excel in their storytelling skills around any trend. Strong analytical skills are required. You will be able to leverage data to develop plans and drive better decisions. High systems affinity & strong working knowledge of tools including Excel and Tableau.
Planning: You are already aware that retail is a detailed and fast changing environment. As a Senior Allocator you will tactically coordinate and oversee the different Retail and Seasonal Moments in your Gender. You will be on top of your Business and will support your Team in achieving their KPIs for their Categories by coaching and providing best practices.
Consumer focus: Context is key. As an allocator, you understand the consumer & marketplace needs and you can capture trends by building strong business cases, backed with data and strong storytelling.
Team: We look for a strong team player with a positive attitude who supports and make their peers grow. You are able to coach and communicate effectively with your teams. Proactively approach self-development seeking and acting on feedback from peers & leaders.
Project Management: As part of the Allocation Management Team, you will be a Key Stakeholder in Strategic Workstreams. You will be asked to lead and collaborate with different functions including Tech, Supply Chain and other functions within DSM.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Senior Allocator you will be the leading example in Allocation Fundamentals such as:
BUSINESS
Take ownership of the allocation strategy for key product segments
Oversee and influence your KPIs, including Assortment Materialization, Seasonality, Stock Health or Lost Sales.
Guide the team by sharing the Weekly Strategy and areas to look out for, based on Retail and Seasonal Moments.
Collaborate across functions to implement practical solutions and drive consumer-centric innovation.Represent your team in x-functional larger meetings
Propose practical solutions to implement functional strategies and compellingly communicate it to allocators
Lead x-functional projects sparking innovation with a curious mindset, seeking constant improvement in how we drive our business and serve our consumers; bring visibility to managers
TEAM
Co-create the best practices with the Team based on the overall Allocation Strategy and the Team’s input and ideas.
Engage regularly in the development of the gender allocation team, provide meaningful feedback and coaching in the moment, as well as contributing to mid/yearly development feedback
Represent allocators and collaborate with the managers in building the Strategy for your team.
Actively contribute to Allocation Leadership behaviors with the team
WHAT YOU BRING
3+ years of experience in Allocation. Experience in Merchandising, Buying or Planning is recommended.
Experience working in Just Enough is a plus.
Commercial & Entrepreneurial mind and skillset, ability to negotiate and trade pre and in-season
Strong retail mindset, preferably in corporate environment in the Fashion or Sports Industry.
You will be able to demonstrate a self-starter and forward-looking mentality and be eager to drive and own end to end communication with results driven.
You will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
