Senior Ally Invest Fraud Investigator

You’re constantly evolving, so shouldn’t your opportunities be, too? **The Opportunity** The Senior Fraud Ally Invest Investigator works with the various teams within Ally Invest to investigate and deter fraud. This role requires the ability to conduct in-depth research of complex situations and provide clear documentation of all findings. You will have direct interaction with internal clients, external providers, regulators and internal support staff as a part of the candidate's everyday routine. This is an in office role with Hybrid schedule. Ally work locations are Lewisville TX, Jacksonville FL, Charlotte NC **The Work Itself** * Utilize sound judgement and knowledge of financial investigative tools/techniques to establish an investigate plan and conduct investigations by gathering facts and evidence, performing research and analysis and documenting findings. * Investigations involve handling all aspects of the investigation and normally require detailed analysis and research to resolve issues. * Identify opportunities to improve fraud prevention and detection strategies * Initiate correspondence to customers and other financial institutions to facilitate investigation and recover funds. * Perform a series of reviews (including detailed link analysis) utilizing various tools and reports to identify potentially fraudulent activities on new/existing Ally Invest accounts * Perform quality control reviews of SAR filings * Partner closely with Invest Operations and third parties providing lead direction and action on customer accounts * Cross-train additional resources on Invest Fraud operations to build depth in function and role * Provide principal supervision of associated persons where required * Provide requested information to regulatory agencies (FINRA, SEC, Etc.) and internal/external auditors, as needed. * Responsible for reviewing large data sets to discover transaction patterns and filter for targeted information using traditional as well as predictive/advanced analytic methodologies. * Provide feedback and maintenance of adequate documentation to support governance for fraud. * Maintain current knowledge and awareness of investigative fraud techniques, privacy laws, broker-dealer regulations, and investigation handling policy and procedures. **The Skills You Bring** * 3+ years of prior fraud experience within the financial services and/or other regulated environments required, preferably in brokerage and/or securities fraud experience * FINRA Series SIE, 7/63 & 24 preferred * Experience with regulatory filing procedures and awareness of BSA as it aligns to investments preferred * Certifications in area of specialization preferred (CFE, CISSP, CAMS, CRCM) * Excellent oral and written communication with strong emphasis on grammar and strong desire to provide an exceptional customer experience * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) * Solid relationship building and ability to deal with internal/external resources * Able to work independently and with a team to handle all issues while working under strict time constraints * Detail and results oriented and able to prioritize tasks in a multi-task environment * Able to exercise independent thought and judgment and adapt to new tasks with little notice. * Ability to think critically and efficiently analyze large amounts of data * Must be confident and highly credible via e-chats, email, over the phone and in person * Must be a "problem -- solver" and willing to get creative to overcome challenges. * Strong attention to detail **How We'll Have Your Back** * Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
