What you'll do:

Line/coat interior surfaces of tank cars using airless spray equipment.  Mix and apply cold set and phenolic materials. Apply all layers (prime, intermediate and top) with consistently defect free results. Employees at this level require no supervision and give direction to Interior Preppers and other. Interior Liners by regularly performing as team leader of a three-member working unit involved. In preparing and lining cars. Observes all standard safety practices.  Maintain and complete all required records.

What you’ll need:

Complete understanding of pre-bake and final bake of forced cure linings, equipment sizing (tip size, pump pressure, pump ratio, etc.). Ability to mix all lining materials and the effects of temperature and humidity. Ability to operate small power tools. Knowledge of proper preparation of tank cars for lining. Knowledge of and ability to perform emergency rescue operations. Must pass level 2 coatings certification test (normally acquired with 3 years’ experience).
