Senior Analyst, Billing Operations

Role Purpose:  Performs billing and related functions for NBCU Cable and Broadcast Networks. Perform pre-bill quality controls on financial and master data to ensure billing integrity. Act as first point of contact for questions on billing and invoice adjustments for Sales and Sales support teams. Responsibilities:   + Generate monthly Linear billing for NBCU Broadcast and Cable Networks, both print and electronic. Networks include: NBC Broadcast Network, Telemundo Network, USA, Syfy, Bravo, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, Universal Kids, Universo and Olympic Channel. + Adjust and revise prior billing as authorized by NBCU business. + Problem-solve billing issues ad hoc. + Perform pre-bill quality analysis several times a month and follow-through to ensure master data and billing integrity. + Perform historical billing error root cause analysis to provide platform and recommendations for long-term process improvements. + Meet aggressive monthly closing deadlines in reconciling and generating billing as well as preparing files for transfer to Accounts Receivable SAP system. + Work closely with Traffic, Sales, Info Technology, and Accounts Receivable Departments. + Provide billing support documentation for all audits, including SOX. + Assist Digital and Linear Account Management and Sales Planners in meeting billing deadlines and resolving billing issues. + Assist with the preparation of Digital monthly invoices, including verifying Operative Consolidated Status report reflecting the billable lines and amounts against dashboard and third party/primary data. + Collaborate on cross-platform (Linear & Digital) projects and billing process improvement projects. Basic Requirements: + 2-3 years' experience in broadcast finance + Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field + Proficient in advanced Excel + Proven experience in quality control and process improvements Desired Characteristics: + Prior broadcast media billing experience or proficiency in media traffic systems a plus This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
