We are looking for a Senior Analyst specializing in the Beauty and Personal Care (BPC) category to join the China Insights Team. In this position, you will support the insight leaders to shape the future of Mintel’s offerings, directly impacting how beauty and personal care brands engage with consumers and how ingredient suppliers innovate. Your insights will guide strategic decisions, helping clients adapt to evolving consumer needs and maintain or enhance their market position.
What You Will Be Doing:
Publish BPC content combining market research and consumer insights
Work with insight leaders to conduct primary and secondary research for BPC categories, write and publish the contents as scheduled Design consumer research that can produce meaningful data reflecting key consumer trendsSupport client engagement and marketing/PR activities
Prepare the report debrief or syndicated presentation based on the published contents and client needs Present key findings to clients under insight leaders’ supervision, ensuring clarity and actionable outcomes Collaborate with global and local teams to enhance the impact of Mintel BPC insights, actively promote Mintel BPC contents with BPC Client Advisory, Account Manager, Business Development and Marketing to strengthen the market relevance
Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a skilled professional with 3-5 years of experience in consulting, data analysis, or market research, with a strong understanding of the Beauty and Personal Care (BPC) industry. Candidates shall have experience working directly with BPC clients in research, consulting, or data/market intelligence companies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Sociology, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related field. Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and extract key insights to inform strategic decisions. Strong Mandarin writing skills, with previous experience in creating detailed professional reports preferred. Excellent English reading and writing skills, with the capability to communicate effectively in English in daily operations. Rigorous attention to detail, strong self-motivation, resilience under time constraints, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Confident presentation skills; capable of delivering engaging speeches and addressing client questions with poise. Exceptional communication skills with a willingness to collaborate across departments and teams. A genuine curiosity about the business world and a passion for the BPC industry are strongly preferred.#LI-SS
