Job Purpose

 

Reporting to the Manager, Change Delivery, this key role will support the UNY Service Line Inspection Program providing insightful data analysis and interpretation, workplan forecasting & seamless cross-functional teamwork. This individual will need to understand the business drivers that impact end-to-end processes, including financial, regulatory, operational, capital, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Accountabilities

 

Forecast, manage & execute program work mandated by the Public Service Commission to support the overall delivery of the Service Line Inspection workplans. Coordinate regional schedules and activities ensuring regulatory, budget, work performance, productivity measures and customer expectations are met. Support and implement an integrated program plan, across all processes, that are aligned to our functional objectives. Work with leadership team to identify improvement opportunities to increase operational efficiency. Advocate outcomes and recommendations to cross functional audiences through written reports and oral presentations. Cultivate successful working relationships with respective colleagues to ensure consistent operational performance support, especially in key areas such as policy, strategy, and information systems. Keep up to date with regulatory developments within energy industry to ensure the optimization of best practices for Service Line Inspection Provide technical guidance, support, and coaching to others to share knowledge and develop technical understanding within discipline. Report and monitor monthly resource levels and resource predictions to Resource Planning for measurement of performance to plan, for tracking of themes and trends. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stake holders to share best practices, drive consistency in resource coordination and planning, and ensure timely delivery of projects. Challenge existing ways of working and continuously seek better ways of performing work to drive greater efficiencies.

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent work experience. Typically, role requires a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience. Proficient in Office 365 programs such Excel, Word, Outlook Knowledge of National Grid policies and processes and how to apply them effectively. Experience of managing project teams and projects independently Experience with forecasting workplans preferred.       A valid driver’s license is required.

Salary - $94,000 - $110,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
