Job Purpose

The Senior Analyst will provide analytical, process, and decision-making support for the Gas Scenario Planning and Solution Delivery operating model, encompassing gas demand forecasting, gas capacity need identification, and optioneering across gas supply/network infrastructure/demand-side solutions. This role will manage analytical models for the evaluation of long-term gas capacity needs and supply / gas network infrastructure / demand-side solutions and provide overall support for the planning process (e.g., governance, leadership decision-making, solution portfolio implementation oversight, and risk management). This role will also support regulatory filings and processes related to the above and broader energy transition topics.

Key Accountabilities

Manage end-to-end gas scenario planning process across multiple functions (demand forecasting, gas capacity need identification, optioneering across gas supply/network investments/demand-side solutions)
Lead analysis and evaluation of long-term gas capacity solutions across multiple criteria
Track gas capacity solution portfolio implementation and lead contingency analysis to adjust portfolio for changing circumstances
Define and track KPIs / key risk indicators / dashboard metrics for US gas supply and capacity for leadership
Staff governance committees and provide senior leadership decision support
Use strategic perspective and problem solving to test internal thinking and drive continuous improvement
Develop internal-facing and external-facing evaluations of gas capacity needs and options, leading ad hoc teams of cross-functional subject matter experts to deliver, and present and defend findings externally in regulatory proceedings and via stakeholder engagement
Coordinate subject matter expert input into relevant regulatory filings and processes.
 

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required (master’s or advanced degree is a plus) and 3+ years of related work experience 
Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, including document control and advanced Excel formulas. Proficiency with project management tools such as SmartSheet is also required.
Project management experience working with multiple stakeholders in a rapidly changing environment
Understanding of current trends within the gas utility industry, especially related to energy transition matters, regulation, and policy
Innovative strategic thinker and solutions oriented
Strong analytical background/technical acumen with ability to gather & analyze data
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines or functional groups as well as across multiple levels of management
Strong communication skills (e.g., leadership decision support, project requirements/timelines/status)

Salary

$112,000 - $132,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
