Senior Analyst, Capital Planning Stress Testing

PenFed is hiring a (Remote) Senior Analyst, Capital Planning Stress Testing associated with our Tysons, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this job is to support the execution and reporting of modeling activities within the capital planning and stress testing process. **This role can be located anywhere in the United States** The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $78,378 to $113,668 This position is eligible for the organization’s annual Balanced Scorecard bonus subject to board discretion and approval This position is also eligible for the opportunity for an annual Pay for Performance bonus Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Contribute to the production and assessment of PenFed’s capital plan and stress testing results in compliance with NCUA regulatory requirements. Generate reporting materials and presentations used by the Finance team and challenge groups to diagnose and analyze the drivers impacting projected net income, the enterprise’s risk profile, and net worth capital levels across a variety of scenarios. Develop a familiarity with modeling and configuration requirements for existing and emerging PenFed financial products and initiatives. Perform BAU and ad-hoc requests within the broader QRM modeling function, which may include model upgrade testing, validation exercises, back-testing and new product implementation. Participate in the fulfillment of related data requests or NCUA inquiries related to the Capital Plan function. Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including FP&A and Treasury, to ensure consistency and transparency of key modeling assumptions used within the CPST process. Facilitate the maintenance of updated CPST process and modeling documentation that satisfies internal model risk and audit requirements. Ability to operate within tight timelines while enforcing high standard of accuracy. Demonstrate initiative to self-educate and cross-train. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics is required; Advanced Degree in related field is preferred. Minimum of three (3) years experience with QRM Balance Sheet Management system or similar balance sheet forecasting framework is required. Three (3) to five (5) years experience in banking or related field of business analysis is required. Fundamental understanding of financial instrument cashflow modeling, including home lending and consumer loan products, as well as retail deposits. Background in developing or producing presentations for executive level review is preferred. Working knowledge of SQL or similar data query competencies used to support data validation and diagnostics. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.* Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
