Choice Hotels, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting new opportunity as our Senior Analyst, Compensation in the Total Rewards department. The Senior Analyst, Compensation will provide analysis and builds complex predictive models to ensure compensation programs and outcomes are consistent with market best practice, corporate initiatives, and compensation philosophy. The Senior Analyst, Compensation will evaluate new jobs for internal leveling and external market pricing, assist in the design and development of new compensation programs, while playing a key role in managing the annual compensation cycle. This role will respond to inquiries from associates and managers, and proactively brings up areas for improvement to address business needs and efficiencies in operations.

Your Responsibilities
Workforce/Compensation Analytics and Data Modeling - Use a variety of tools (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Workday reporting) to build analysis and data models that allow us to review internal and external pay trends, and assess new potential programs against market and internal Career Framework. Produce graphics and presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint for use in HR and leadership discussions to report on existing programs or support new program implementation and re-design (e.g., reviewing potential outcomes of changes, understanding current/future financial impact).
Equity/Stock Plan Administration - Support the administration of Choice’s Stock Plan partnering with internal team members and legal, accounting, payroll or other stakeholders, as needed. This includes processing grants, terminations & cancellations, & recordkeeping. May be required to work on executive compensation matters in support of the annual cycle, proxy statement preparation, or other ad hoc requests. To ensure continuity and SOX compliance, maintains procedural and execution documentation.
Annual Pay Cycle Administration and Board Book Support - Serve as a key player during the annual merit, incentive, and Board Reporting cycles by providing timely and accurate analytics and presentation graphics, while proactively tracking to budgets and timelines where needed.
Compensation/HR Research - Keep abreast of new industry trends and bring forth ideas to improve program design, process and/or outcomes. Based on internal needs and external trends, assist in developing new or modified compensation programs necessary to meet Choice objectives. Prepare compensation/HR trend and recommendation presentations for HR and business review.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or other relevant discipline required.Five+ (5) yrs experience working in Consulting, Compensation, Finance, Analytics.Five+ (5) yrs experience working with Microsoft office including intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., synthesize large, complex data, build predictive and/or financial models).Detail-orientation as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.Ability to coordinate multiple projects autonomously and work flexibly in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.Preferred:
Experience with non-exempt associate compensation within corporate and field settings (e.g., hospitality, retail, operations)Familiarity with Compensation governing laws, e.g. FLSA, EPA, EEOCPrior experience using Workday HRIsYour Team
This is an individual contributor role that will report to the report to the Senior Director, Global Compensation. You will have peer teammates and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.
Your Work Location
As our Senior Analyst, Compensation, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $120,000 annually. In addition to the annual salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus based on the terms of Choice's Management Incentive Plan (MIP).
The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
