Join us in a pivotal role in the Risk Product Oversight and Excellence Team, within ESG Research and Methodology, where you'll support the Risk Rating Oversight function to deliver on its mandate of ensuring high quality, robust and consistent ESG Risk Ratings outcomes. This role offers the chance to pioneer innovative product control and oversight solutions and collaborate within a team that fosters entrepreneurial thinking and drives enhancements in our product line. You'll work closely with research teams, product managers and our methodology experts to ensure product outcomes are in line with the parameters set and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, you'll be responsible for responding to client inquiries regarding our product methodology and maintaining existing product guidance documents and publications.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive analyses of quantitative and qualitative inputs to support the oversight of risk products outcomes.
Contribute to ensuring that all data inputs, including indicators and metrics, meet specified product requirements;
Lead the development and maintenance of product guidance documentation, such as beta rules, and indicator disabling rules;
Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries regarding the Risk Rating product methodology.
Complete deliverables assigned to the Risk Rating Oversight function, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Collaborate with product managers, product developers, IT and research analysts to implement new product features or methodological enhancements;
Write relevant thought leadership pieces;
Support and lead various initiatives of the Risk Product Oversight and Excellence Team meant to enhance oversight of ESG Risk Rating.
Develop tools to compare company outcomes and identify outliers or conducting regular analyses of ratings outcomes to be presented to senior members of ESG Research and Methodology
Competencies & Qualifications
Masters degree in Economics, Finance, Social Sciences, or related studies;
3-5 years of relevant work experience, including ESG research experience;
Structured thinker with strong analytical and conceptual capabilities;
Creativity and problem solving that can be applied in real-life applications;
Excellent communication and writing skills;
Skilled user of relevant software, in particular Excel; basic knowledge of SQL and Python considered an asset.
Organizational and project management skills;
Ability to work independently and in a team;
Embracing responsibility/accountability.
