What you’ll do as a Senior Analyst, Federal Income Tax
+ Prepare and perform detailed technical reviews of the worldwide income tax provision and supporting workpapers to ensure technical accuracy
+ Manage your time to ensure internal and external deadlines are met for multiple workstreams simultaneously
+ Prepare supporting documentation to ensure compliance with key SOX controls related to US tax accounting
+ Liaise with other corporate departments and with subsidiaries to help ensure the tax effects of transactions and developments are appropriately captured in the income tax provision and retur
+ Perform detailed technical reviews of corporate and partnership income tax returns and supporting workpapers for the US
+ Prepare and perform a detailed review of income tax estimated and extension payment calculations
+ Research and analyze existing and new accounting and tax regulations and assist with determining tax effects and process impacts for both provision and compliance
+ Help improve the tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making by increasing efficiencies and implementing automations utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize processes
+ Assist with any tax projects that occur, such as tax planning, process transformation, restructuring, and due diligence
+ Utilize software such as OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Income Tax, Alteryx, and Power BI to achieve best corporate tax practices
What you’ll need
+ To be 18 years of age or older
+ Authorization to work in the United States for this company
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Masters in Tax is a plus
+ 5+ years of overall experience with a minimum of 2 years of ASC 740 and federal compliance experience
+ CPA license (preferred)
+ Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel using formulas and functions
+ Extensive experience with Microsoft Word
+ Knowledge of tax research platforms such as CCH, BNA Intelliforms, or related
+ Knowledge of OneSource Tax Provision and Income Tax (preferred)
+ Experience with large ERP systems and/or Hyperion (preferred)
Additional qualifications
+ Knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI, BNA, and SAGE Fixed Assets (preferred)
+ Are willing to work nights, some weekends, and travel when required
+ Tax technical knowledge of ASC 740 including year-end provision, interim provision, unrecognized tax benefits, and valuation allowance requirements. An understanding of ASC 718 will be helpful
+ Experience in preparation and review of income tax provisions, interim and year-end, and supporting work-papers. Additional experience in auditing provisions is a plus
+ Experience in preparation and review of corporate and partnership tax returns and supporting work-papers
