Choice Hotels, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting new opportunity as our Senior Analyst, International Hotel Technology & Commercial Strategy in the Distribution Strategy Division, working very closely with the International Commercial Division.

The Distribution Strategy Division acts a bridge between the needs of our external users (e.g. guests, franchisees, third-party partners) and internal teams (e.g. Revenue Management, Loyalty, Marketing, Digital) by providing products and solutions to help drive revenue, capture bookings, create a seamless experience, and continually look for ways to improve and enhance those products.

The International Commercial Division is the team that works with our regional offices in Canada, CALA, EMEA and APAC, to develop an overarching International marketing & distribution strategic plan focused on driving customer value, enhancing franchisee value proposition, and delivering regional teams' profitability. In this role you will collaborate with the US and International teams on PMS technologies and other products or programs, thereby enhancing the distribution of our hotels and enabling our international regions’ successes.

Your Responsibilities

Support and coordinate the roll out of PMS migrations and onboardings.Support and maintain roadmap for International PMS capability development and lifecycle evolution, in collaboration with International Teams.Ensure International needs and requirements are always in scope of all projects by keeping track of upcoming products and programs released or updated by US.Lead the roll out of Choice RMS system with new PMSs and develop training materials as needed. Build the back-end system configuration to support a phased roll-out.Execute on rate/promo loading, activation and/or updates. Ensure testing is performed and support troubleshooting.Support and troubleshoot for all regions outside of US and support Canada Joint Venture and any MFAs that don’t have access to Choice systems.Develop aligned processes between International and US organization to promote work efficiency.Train and educate on International connectivity landscape and needs, and act as a consultant.Document PMSs features and create internal facing communication such as release notes, training guides, FAQs, while also working with corporate communications to draft external facing material.Support International Commercial strategic initiatives (e.g. information dissemination, progress dashboards, data reporting).  

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Operations Management, Marketing, or Information Technology; or equivalent industry experience2+ years of hospitality industry experience in a system-facing role preferredAnalytical, problem-solving experience with ability to examine macro and micro issuesKnowledge of existing Choice-supported hospitality property management (e.g. ChoiceADVANTAGE, Opera, Mews) and/or inventory and rates management systems is a plusProficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and WordDemonstrates key competencies to include:CollaboratesCommunicates EffectivelyDrives Results

Your Team

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Director, Integrated Marketing and On Property Technology, with a dotted line to Senior Manager, International Technology & Commercial Strategic Initiatives. You will have 3 direct peer teammate(s) and collaborate with cross-functional departments on a regular basis.

Your Work Location

As our Senior Analyst, International Hotel Technology & Commercial Strategy, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art technology hub in Scottsdale, AZ. In October 2021, Choice opened a newly constructed world class technology center.

Right now, our associates in Scottsdale, AZ are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtual from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $79,000 to $90,000 annually.

The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
