Main Responsibilities:
Lead Allegro modeling processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in settlement procedures for ISO transactions, while also supporting PPA/contract modeling initiatives within the ETRM framework. Demonstrate expertise in understanding the complete trade/deal lifecycle, driving the sourcing of essential inputs for trade creation, and overseeing the mapping function for various trades.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless data integration between bid-bill systems, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and other relevant sources into Allegro, particularly for ISO-facing and PPA/contract transactions.Utilize hands-on experience to gather and analyze requirements pertaining to Physical & Financial Deal Types (Futures, Options, Swaps), PPA transactions, Mark To Market, and P&L Reports.Take ownership of daily commercial operations and data flow across all AES trading systems, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to established processes.Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ETRM. Bid to Bill and associated trading platforms, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders.Provide diligent support to guarantee accurate booking of accruals/invoices within the ETRM ecosystem, verifying the precise flow of all realized components.Act as a bridge between trading, risk management, ETRM, and settlements teams, actively identifying and resolving issues while delivering timely solutions.Foster strong relationships and collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders including trading desks, market operations, audit, risk management, and settlements groups.Execute multiple assignments and projects concurrently with minimal oversight, adhering to defined priority and quality standards.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; master’s degree preferred.Proven experience (3-5 years) in ETRM and Bid-to-Bill systems - Allegro, Adapt2, PCI.Advanced proficiency in Allegro modeling and other relevant ETRM software platforms.Experience in one or more US power markets - CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, NEISO and MISO.Advanced knowledge of SQL/TSQL with direct experience in Microsoft and Google cloud platforms. Experience working with APIs.Comfortable pulling and analyzing large amounts of data and ability to understand database structures and SQL queries.Understanding of data flow between any of the commercial operations systems, energy commodity transactions, trading, settlements, scheduling, and market operations.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a demonstrated aptitude for stakeholder management.AES is an Equal Opportunity Employer who is committed to building strength and delivering long-term sustainability through diversity and inclusion.
