Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Commodity Buyer, Senior Analyst, Procurement. The role will be located in Benton Harbor, MI at our Riverview Campus location. The Senior Analyst, Procurement shall be the main interface between Whirlpool and Supply Base for the Service parts commodity. The Senior Analyst is expected to manage the total performance of his/her commodities and supplier portfolio in the Service space. This role is responsible for delivering financial results for the commodity, driving sourcing processes, and managing commercial relationships with suppliers. You are also expected to support cross functional stakeholders and key initiatives to achieve operational excellence and product leadership.
Your responsibilities will includeDevelop and manage the business relationship between Whirlpool and its Suppliers of the assigned commodity(ies)/suppliers, within our Global Strategic Sourcing organization (contract negotiations, supplier issue resolution, performance management, supplier cost reductions, purchase order creation, and management)
Develop and implement sourcing strategy for assigned commodities and suppliers (sourcing execution and supplier selection)
Evaluate suppliers on cost, quality, delivery, and other information to determine the viability of suppliers
Forecast Financials on a monthly basis and identify, develop and execute projects for your assigned commodity(ies)
Lead/support various process partner needs (like Engineering & Technology, Product Development, Marketing, etc.) needs within assigned commodity(ies)
Drive extraordinary results in meeting critical revenue, cost, quality, delivery, and service objectives
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are accomplished in all work streams.
Methodically exit a supplier relationship (SBR- supplier business reduction- strategy)
Bachelor's Degree
3+ year(s) of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or Engineering
Experience in drafting and negotiating contract terms for local, national and international agreements
Build strong rapport and relationships with internal process partners and suppliers
Analytical and computer-related skills
Manage and prioritize multiple key activities
Potential and work ethic for future growth
Working knowledge of SAP
