Senior Analyst, US Public Policy
**Job Description:** Job Summary Coordinates efforts with members of Walgreens government affairs team to ensure the company is influencing and properly informed and engaged on trends and developments for US public policy. Facilitates engagement and input from key business units and provides them and government affairs with policy support and analysis of legislative bills, regulatory developments and trends impacting Walgreens. Job Responsibilities + Collaborates with the Walgreens government affairs team and provides policy support and analysis around issues important to Walgreens and the people we serve. + Engages, advises and provides policy background to members of Walgreens government relations team, including federal, state and local affairs, to ensure their engagement and understanding of key public policy issues impacting the company. + Tracks, researches and stays informed about policy trends that could impact Walgreens and ensures team members and internal business units are aware and understand emerging issues. + Engages with stakeholders, both within and outside Walgreens, about policy issues through participation in trade associations and other third-party groups and coalitions. + Drafts policy communications on key legislative and regulatory issues, including internal summaries, briefing memos, presentations, and comment letters, among other items. + Supports key enterprise policy issues and provides solutions consistent with business goals under the direction of Public Policy leaders and in partnership with other Policy colleagues. + Provides input on public policy issues to internal colleagues and external consultants as needed. + Monitor and notify stakeholders of regulatory updates for publicized rules and guidance and maintain updates to new laws, regulations and compliance requirements via maps and charts (for example, state maps detailing pharmacist and pharmacy tech scopes of practice).
