Key Responsibilities:The Sr. Analyst - Inventory Management and Strategy combines their knowledge of inventory-management and analytics to lead planning systems and identify process-improvement opportunities supporting inventory policy. They will do this through work on strategic projects to support inventory spare-part planning for aircraft parts required by the maintenance operation of United Airline’s fleet. This includes management of existing automation tools/systems and demonstrating continuous-improvement skills and tools to identify and lead new projects to improve inventory efficiency.
Collect and interpret sophisticated data sets to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and support decision-making to optimize inventory allocation and purchase activityCollaborate cross-functionally to support successful launch of Distribution center and strategic automation projectsDocument inventory strategy/policy decisions; communicate to partnersProactively seek out opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the businessRecommend adjustments to strategy and tactical planning parameters (planned service level, consumption segments, etc.) to balance inventory risk against cost within the existing policy directionPrepare and deliver presentations that summarize findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively to audiences including senior executivesUnited values diverse experiences, perspectives, and we encourage everyone who meets the minimum qualifications to apply.
