Job overview and responsibilities

Sr. Analyst - Inventory Forecasting supports spare part forecasting enhancements, including expendable and rotable components to support the Maintenance operations of United Airlines fleet. This role is part of the team accountable for identifying enhancement opportunities, improving spare parts forecasting, and streamlining the forecasting process. This position will collaborate with Digital Technology partners and Supply Chain groups, including inventory planning, vendor management, components/engines shops, warehousing, and logistics functions. The role will work closely with other Data Scientists working on identifying trends from parts usage data, transaction data and operations data, and providing suggestions to support the Supply Chain organization initiatives.

Bachelors degreeBachelors degree in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, operations research, or engineering3 years of experience in data science, analytical/statistical modeling or process improvement-oriented role in supply chain, aviation, manufacturing, or other relevant industryProgramming experience in a scripting language such as Python, RExperience with machine learning techniques like time series forecasting, regression etc.Familiarity with database models (e.g., RDBMS, Hadoop) with high-level proficiency integrating complex transactional data in relational databases using SQLMust be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorshipMust be fluent in English (written and spoken)Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
