The Global Marsh Advisory Accounting team is responsible for accounting and financial reporting. Marsh Advisory Consultants provide a wide array of services and expertise to help clients understand, measure, and respond to risk, as well as recover from any losses.
We are currently seeking candidates for the Senior Analyst - Accounting Operations position based in our Urbandale, Iowa office.

We will count on you to:
Ensure proper controls and procedures are being met, by partnering with the India hub, the vendor providing our billing and reconciliation services.
Monitor resource levels and quality of work related to the India hub.
Make certain all Billing and Reconciliation Specialists are properly trained and using the systems efficiently and effectively.
Hire, train, mentor, and supervise US based Marsh Advisory finance team members.
Review documentation monthly and update as needed.
Maintain client, contract/project information, and colleague information in the system of record.
Maintain billing procedures.
Own the accuracy of monthly invoices to our clients and internal/external revenue allocations.
Continue to streamline processes, as well as create and communicate standardized procedures and policies to adhere to SOX and enable more efficient processes.
Develop effective solutions to business challenges.
Coordinate monthly financial reporting for distribution to the global audience.
Prepare client, project, or client-specific ad hoc analyses.
Assist business colleagues with questions and problems related to time recording and cost entry.
Support the Specialist - Accounting Operations with the development of new processes and procedures.
Manage projects from the implementation of new software modules to capturing and storing additional timekeeper, client and project data for teams assigned.
Partner with technology resources in the development and support of systems.
What you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
3 – 5 years of accounting experience
Leadership experience preferred
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and ability to interact with both clients and colleagues in a fast-moving professional team environment.
Strong financial and analytical skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including advanced Excel knowledge.
