Senior Analyst - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) - Hybrid to New Hartford, NY

What you will do

Analyzes budgets and forecasts and performs variance analysis to explain discrepancies. Assist in the development, collection and dissemination of premiums plans and projections to any/all segments, regions and/or territories. Creates and maintains Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that measures effectiveness of strategy and execution. Collects, analyzes and quantifies data to evaluate the strategic position of the company either at the enterprise level or at a execution level within a business segment. Utilize all available sources of internal and external data to assess market opportunities/gaps for positioning company to profitably grow. Validates results in comparison to expectations to identify patterns and trends that could indicate potential material issues. Update variance analysis for actual results to budget, forecast, prior year, and industry trends. Run monthly reports and help Finance and Accounting to provide insightful analysis on financial information. Drives continuous process improvements in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities through automation and system enhacements.

Additional Responsibilities:

Provides support on the month-end, quarter-end, and year end close process. Build proficiencies in analyzing and investigating problems or questions using the appropriate applications and resources. Help to identify process improvements in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities through automation and system enhancements. Assist in maintaining financial databases to ensure accuracy. Performs other duties as assigned. Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures.

Education: Bachelor's Degree- Finance/Accounting or related field of study preferred.

What will you need:

4-7 years Working in an insurance accounting environment or other FP&A role preferred.

Salary: $76,342.80 - $114,514.20

The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee’s work experience, their geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications.
