ResponsibilitiesJob Summary
Part of the Workforce Insights, Organizational Performance, and Planning Team, the Senior Analyst will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining Human Resources reports and data delivery functions for the organization’s future Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Oracle, using Oracle BI Publisher (BIP), Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), and Google BigQuery. This position will play a critical role in providing meaningful information to drive business operations, as well as enable the success of Ascension strategic investment in the Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and associated reporting and analytics solutions. This role will engage in integrating and transforming data to enable reporting functionality, as well as working directly with end users to capture detailed requirements and translate them into meaningful reports that effectively satisfy the business need.
Responsibilities
Creates, develops and customizes reports using tools associated with Ascension’s future Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Oracle BI Publisher (BIP) and Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), and by using Ascension’s data analytics platform, Google BigQuery.Assembles datasets within Oracle FDI and using Google BigQuery. Facilitates meetings with business partners to capture requirements, determine reporting goals, and understand the business issue to be solved; Designs reports that share insights and provide answers for the business issues identified.Performs validation and analysis of report data to ensure accuracy.Creates and maintains technical documentation of processes, reports, applications, and procedures.Builds credibility and rapport with customers to understand their needs.Acts as a technical point of contact and conducts user acceptance testing of reports.Supports the development and maintenance of data governance and/or data standards.Performs other duties as assigned.Preferred Qualifications
Strong SQL skillsDemonstrated proficiency with Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) processes Desire & ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Relevant Skills & Experience:
Experience with backend databases including Oracle, as well as with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processesStrong analytical, problem solving, and collaboration skillsKnowledge of Reporting and Analytics tools used in Oracle HCM (BIP and FDI)Understanding of HR data and HR employee lifecycle processes (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning and Development, Benefits, and Compensation, etc.)Previous experience with healthcare organizational dataAbility to work independently to identify, design and implement internal process improvement to automate manual processes, or optimize data delivery by re-designing for greater scalability.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to tailor communications depending on the audienceRequirementsEducation:
