Job Summary:
The Accountant, Intercompany will report to the Team Leader, Intercompany and will play an important role in supporting the establishment of and being a key team member of the Intercompany Accounting team at the India Shared Services Center based in Bengaluru, India. The intercompany accountant will support the migration of intercompany accounting activities throughout EMEA and North America to the India Shared Service Center. Upon completion, Bengaluru location will be the global hub of a network of service centers that operate under standard processes and procedures and utilize Oracle’s ERP software solution.
The position will require process expertise related to shared service center operations. The intercompany accountant will be part of a team of professional accountants performing accounting services in the areas of:
· Management of intercompany accounting in line with policy FICAP 17-1A
· Intercompany accounts receivable including agreements, automated billings/recharges, cash application and statement publication.
· Intercompany accounts payable include invoice processing, GRNI & GIT management, netting & bank settlements, dispute management and supplier reconciliations.
· Transfer pricing transactional accounting including royalties, commissions, and R&D
· Close management ensures all intercompany balance sheet and profit, and loss account relationships are in balance.
· The position will require business partnering with our business units and effective communication across functions and with senior finance management and global operations.
Job Responsibilities:
· This intercompany accountant will be responsible for providing accounting services including continuous improvement of processes and internal controls as well as contributing to the overall vision for the Company’s shared services evolution.
· Supporting the Team Leader, Intercompany and Accounting Leader, Intercompany in the establishment of the intercompany accounting team in the India Shared Service Center including implementation of standard business processes and governance for identified processes in-scope as documented in our finance blueprint.
· Deliver successful transition of intercompany accounting finance processes, specific to their scope area, from the local finance teams in the United States and Ireland (and other locations as required) to the India Shared Service Center.
· Ensure performance of targeted Global Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to align with delivery of desired service level to the business.
· Integrate intercompany accounting finance processes of new acquisitions into the India Shared Service Center.
· Work closely with teams across the shared services organization and in the business lines to identify and implement opportunities for efficiencies (including the ERP IT team).

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with a CPA or Chartered Accountant certification or other similar qualification.
· Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including 2 years of experience in global shared service center environment
· Knowledge of financial systems skills and reporting tools (experience with Oracle R12, PeopleSoft a plus).
