Job Summary:
Responsible for conducting complex analysis and provide recommendations to support the Merchandising organization. Provide support, guidance and training on tools and processes. Develops metrics to measure expected performance against actual indexing stores or categories of varying volume. Acts as a technical/methodological advisor of measurement and reporting completed by others to ensure validity and reliability of departmental research. Provides cross-functional direction to other members of the team associated with day to day and special projects.
Job Responsibility:Leads the development of assortment recommendations based on consumer behavior, distribution capabilities, and local legal requirements that directly contribute to improved categoryperformance including sales, gross profit, inventory, basket implications, space performance, andlocational performance.Develops frameworks, templates, and analytics to effectively communicate insights and trends tostakeholders. Acts as an advisor for analytics, reporting, tools, and processes. Provides guidance,training, and supports knowledge-sharing efforts within the Merchandising organizationContributes to the strategy development process of high profile and/or complex businesses, whilehelping the Merchandising team drive the program segmentation planning process resulting inimproved sales and profit performance.Leverages analytics to assist various teams in determining product strategy.Evaluates best practices, methodology, and tools and seeks to improve deliverables in order tomaintain alignment with the business needs.Develops and refines presentation structure and templates in order to more effectivelycommunicate results and trends.Performs research and analyses of Merchandising initiatives to demonstrate the value of product and merchandising strategies. Team with Merchandising, Finance, and Operations to determineROI on new initiatives. Support Joint Business Planning through analysis and recommendationsto assist the Merchandising and Category teams in reaching their fiscal goals and budgets.Performs as subject matter advisor to specified area of responsibility and constructivelychallenges current methods to identify areas of improvement, support established standards anddeliver improved results. May design specifications of assigned initiatives and may lead inimplementation. Become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems.About Walgreens
