Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Sr. Analyst - Payroll Support & DA will provide analytical support for the payroll, operations as well as Labor Relations / HR teams for pay, time, and attendance related issues. This role will be responsible for understanding various data needs of partners from payroll and operations, identifying the best way to analyze and present those data. Duties include:

Pulling and analyzing large data sets using tools/ platforms such as Foundry, DBeaver, SQL, Python and VBA and crafting interactive visualization reports to be used by various teams within United, mostly using PowerBI and Spot Fire to analyze dashboardsIdentifying process improvement and automation opportunities, offering solutions, communicating and following up the successful implementation of those initiativesWorking directly with key partner such as operational leaders, Labor Relations and HR on data analytics projectsSupporting leaders covering over a dozen labor groups with outstanding Collective Bargaining Agreements, spread over multiple operating divisions within United

This role will interact with various levels of employees in multiple divisions to address pay and efficiency issues. This position will also support all program managers in the team with their process improvement needs.

Provide support to various payroll improvement projects/ initiatives that need to be implementedUnderstand various business needs related to payroll or resource spend analysis and design the best report/tool to address those requirementsIdentify root causes of issues impacting pay accuracy and operations efficiencyFind opportunities and recommend solutions including system enhancements, process improvements and standard methodologies as neededEffectively communicate findings and solutions with various groupsCoordinate deliverables, action plans and tasks with implementation ownersUse various data mining and data analysis tools and techniques to find opportunities related to pay accuracy and operations efficiencyExplore future technology opportunities such as AI and automation products to be included in payroll processes and systemsLocate relevant data tables, design and build sophisticated queries to pull and join large data sets from various tablesDevelop and maintain insightful dashboards that management can use to produce informed business decisions impacting accuracy, efficiency and costTrack progress against defined breakthroughs, including timeliness and resourcesWork with management to define relevant performance metrics, track and report regularly and identify concerning trends

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
