Key responsibilities:

The Senior Analyst - Tech Ops Network Strategy will bring strategic vision and analytical expertise to streamline and enhance United’s aircraft maintenance operations. The Senior Analyst will lead initiatives that balance operational efficiency with long-term growth, helping ensure our fleet is always mission-ready.

Develop and implement maintenance allocation strategies to support heavy maintenance activities for United’s growing fleet and maximize aircraft availability in coordination with Network Planning teams.Create and maintain monthly reports on available-to-schedule (ATS) aircraft and maintenance allocations to support heavy and line maintenance activities.Partner with other departments, including Network Planning, Network Operations, and Heavy Maintenance Planning, to execute maintenance plans and achieve alignment on shared goals for operational excellence and efficiency.Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support Heavy Maintenance Planning in achieving optimal maintenance plans for reliable and efficient network operations.Collaborate with stakeholders such as the Network Operations Center to address tactical challenges in executing United’s route schedule and meeting fleet maintenance requirements.Analyze long-range maintenance plans and aircraft usage to identify opportunities for enhanced operational performance and fleet efficiency.

Location: This position is based at United Airlines' Corporate Support Center (Willis Tower) in Chicago, IL. A hybrid work schedule is offered, typically requiring three days in the office. This schedule is subject to change based on company needs.

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, supply chain/logistics, business, or related field—or equivalent work experience.3+ years of experience in strategic or long-term planning, particularly in maintenance or operations.Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel or Palantir Foundry, as well tools for data querying and manipulation like SQL and Python.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain key insights to senior leadership and non-technical audiences.Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.Successful completion of an interview to meet job qualifications.Reliable, punctual attendance as an essential function of the position.

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

Advanced degree (MBA or MS) in Engineering/ Statistics/ Mathematics/ BusinessProject Management or Lean Six Sigma certification.Experience in airline operations planning such as Network Planning and Scheduling.A&P Certification or equivalent aviation industry experience.


The base pay range for this role is $79,800.00 to $108,790.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
